I love to be outdoors enjoying my own garden and creating beautiful spaces for others to enjoy. Gardening is a real passion for me and to be able to design beautiful environments for people is the best job in the world! I will offer you personalised garden design bespoke to your requirements and work with you to design the ideal space you desire.

For many years my career was working with and managing services for people with learning disabilities and mental health issues. Whilst this was a very rewarding career I wanted to do something more creative that I loved so I retrained as a Garden Designer. I studied with the British Academy of Garden Design and graduated from my post-graduate diploma with a distinction. This now enables me to fulfil my passion for gardening and design and also work with people to achieve their dreams of having that perfect outdoor space.

Working with people with disabilities and physical and mental challenges for many years has taught me what wonderful benefits having a garden can bring. Indeed even GPs are now ‘social prescribing’ gardening as an alternative for many people to taking medication. Sensory environments are proven to reduce stress and aid personal wellbeing and this is something that I am passionate about creating for people.

I am also passionate about the environment in this vital time of our existence. Climate change is a real issue in today’s society and people are unaware how some of the simple thing that we can do in our garden environments can make a small difference to contribute to a global change. Based in Bridlington, East Yorkshire, I work across both East and North Yorkshire, mostly covering areas such as  Bridlington, Scarborough, Hornsea, Driffield, Filey and Malton but I but will certainly consider commissions further afield.
